Question: What happens to my existing CAL certification?
- Answer: If you had the original version of CAL I or CAL II (2016 – 2020), you automatically got grandfathered into CAL 1 and CAL 2
- Answer: If you had 2 days of the Certified Agile Leader Courses, whether Essentials, Teams, or Organizations (CAL-E, CAL-T, or CAL-O) you automatically got grandfathered into CAL 1
Qu: What happened to the older CAL 2 program where I could do a Leadership Assessment and 1:1 Coaching?
- Answer: Although the new CAL 2 program is now a 16-hour course, Team KatAnu will offer an add-on package that allows you to purchase a Leadership Development Package. This package will include a Leadership 360 Assessment, Assessment Debrief, and Leadership Action Plan, as well as 5 hours of 1:1 Consulting.
Qu: Are the new classes that much different from the old ones?
- Answer: The CAL 1 course contains the latest topics covering many of the challenges leaders face today. The class allows students to actively solve some of the most common challenges facing leaders today. This is done in small breakout groups so they leave with actionable next steps to implement when they return to work.
- Answer: The CAL 2 program has been redesigned from an extended 5-month program to an intensive 2-day course. Like the CAL 1 class, much of the content has been updated to cover challenges facing organizations today. Small groups work through case studies and challenges to identify some approaches to solving these challenges.
Qu: Should I retake the classes?
- Answer: There is no requirement to retake the CAL classes if you have the new certifications.
- However, if you want a refresher on some of the original content and want to see some of the new content, please reach out, and we will work out an amazing audit rate for you to do that!
